AAEES Announces the Paul F. Boulos Excellence in Computational Hydraulics/Hydrology Award

New Award Recognizes Outstanding Innovation in Environmental Engineering and Technology

Denver, Colorado USA, June 28, 2019 – Digital Water Works, a leading global innovator of digital twin solutions for smart wet infrastructure, today announced that the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES) and the Environmental Engineering and Science Foundation (EESF) have established the Paul F. Boulos Excellence in Computational Hydraulics/Hydrology Award for innovation in environmental engineering and technology.

This prestigious award will be presented annually to a stellar M.S. or Ph.D. student graduating from a university or college with an accredited environmental engineering or environmental science program who demonstrates excellence in the pursuit of research in or application of computational hydraulics and/or hydrology. It consists of cash honoraria for the student and the major faculty advisor as well as a travel allotment to the student recipient to attend the AAEES Excellence in Environmental Engineering and Science Awards Luncheon. AAEES and EESF will administer the entire process, from candidate search to awards presentation.

A highly respected innovator in the environmental engineering industry, Dr. Boulos is widely known for his significant contributions to the theory and practice of computational hydraulics simulation technology for water infrastructure. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and a distinguished member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
